We invited potential volunteer to join our meeting as induction event for Friends of Richards Park project on 1st February.

The launching of the Richard Park Replanting and Beautification project was a great successful event held on 1st February. We had more than 10 potential volunteers attending the meeting, including members of the Norwood Residents Association, as well as Nigel Jordan, the Volunteer Services Coordinator from NPSP Council who will engage with our club regarding this project.

During the speech, Rob and Euan introduced what our Club is, how our Richards Park project was initiated, and what are our plans for the project schedule. Moreover, Nigel discussed the NPSP Council’s volunteer projects, including our one in Richards Park. Nigel also introduced and distributed the contents of relevant project documents, including program description, role statement, and volunteer agreement. All the potential volunteers, including our Club members, were asked to sign and provide the Police Clearance Check to the Council after the meeting.

It was also announced that we shall have a BBQ in Richards Park on Wednesday 1st March to celebrate the commencement of project. We all look forward to engaging with all the stakeholders in replanting and beautification of this precious park!
