Norwood Rotary members are serving for our community in Richards Park, one of the top six parks in City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters
On the 6th and 20th of May, Rotary Club of Norwood (RCN) members, volunteers from the Norwood Residents Association members and NPSP Council combined for planting in Richards Park under the supervision of gardeners from the Council who assisted us to weed, replant, and connect irrigation lines in three of the planting beds.
During these two Saturday mornings, all the plants purchased through the funds from the Council were planted along the irrigation exits planted in designated areas. Our activities have been so productive that we have offered to purchase additional plants for ongoing input in June, followed by further planting in next financial year as planned.
We all look forward to the day when the plants will grow and enhance Richards Park.
We also had morning tea and conversations after completing the planting tasks in the morning.
The commitment of the Richards Park Replanting and beautification project shows that we are the Rotarians, people of action, who are willing to serve our local communities. Meanwhile, the cooperation with the Norwood Residents Association, volunteers from local residents and the NPSP Council will certainly be helpful to strengthen our connection with local communities.
